Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Recispot mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Recispot ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Recispot. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Using Recispot

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious code or interfere with other users
• Misuse recipe import features to process content you do not have rights to use
• Circumvent subscription limits or access controls

Recipe imports and content

When you import recipes from third-party websites or social platforms, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to save and use that content for personal purposes. Recispot extracts publicly available information from URLs you provide. We do not claim ownership of third-party recipe content.

Content you create within Recispot (notes, collections, meal plans) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service.

Community recipes

Where community or discoverable recipes are available, you agree not to post misleading, harmful, or infringing content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

AI features (Pantry Chef)

Pantry Chef and other AI-powered features provide suggestions based on available data. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are solely responsible for verifying ingredients, allergens, cooking safety, and suitability before preparing any recipe.

Subscriptions and billing

Recispot offers a free tier with limited weekly imports and a paid Recispot Pro subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat.

• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple or Google

Free tier limits

Free accounts are subject to usage limits, including a cap on weekly recipe imports. We may adjust free-tier limits with reasonable notice where required.

Intellectual property

The Recispot name, logo, app design, and original software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the Service.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that imported recipe data will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recispot and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on recipe content or AI suggestions.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using Recispot at any time and request account deletion through our support channels.

Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
